Will new law cement Pasco as a bedroom community? Leaders hope not.

Pasco’s housing boom has gone on for years now filling hundreds of acres with residential development. In recent years, the county has tried to set aside more areas for commercial and industrial use so that the number of jobs could catch up with the number of residential units. Now a new state law called Live Local will provide incentives for developers to build apartments in areas zoned for business and industry as long as each provides room for affording housing units.
