Dr. Danielle Thomas is a passionate former educator with 25 years of experience as an elementary special education teacher, curriculum specialist as well as extensive experience in education policy. She spent almost 14 years with Volusia County Schools both in the classroom as well as an instructional coach and program specialist. She then took her talents and passion for professional learning to McGraw Hill Inc. where she was part of the curriculum team for specialized curriculum. She learned and developed her passion for education policy through her experience with Florida PTA, including serving as their Legislation Chair. Most recently she served as the Director of Advocacy & Legislative Services for Florida School Board Association (FSBA). It was there that she guided the association through legislative changes such as the implementation of term limits while also gaining needed policy changes including flexibility to the implementation of middle school and high school start times and school safety.
Her educational background includes a B.A. in Elementary/Special Education from Providence College, a M.S. in Reading and Literacy Education from Walden University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Thomas is dedicated to advocating for and supporting her clients using her extensive knowledge of critical issues and deep-rooted legislative relationships to provide needed policy changes and political guidance.
